| Ever stared out at the big vast blue
ocean and wondered what lies beneath? Have you ever dreamed of mystery
and adventure? UCT Underwater Club invites you to come join us and
become part of the exciting world of SCUBA diving. Cape Town offers a unique diving environment with two oceans to choose from. We are spoilt for choice, with an amazing array of wrecks as well as prolific Marine Biodiversity, with such sites as Coral Gardens and Castle Rock. There is something for all skill levels, from shallow dives of less than 9m’s to the more daring world of wreck, shark and deep diving. With SCUBA, the sky’s the limit! Committee members run scheduled dives every weekend and during the year we periodically arrange diving trips, such as our annual Hermanus weekend of diving. If you are an experienced diver who wants to further your skills or explore the wonderful Cape Town diving, or have never dived before and want to explore the magical underwater world, qualified instructors run courses on a regular basis. Our Instructors are qualified to offer everything from the entry level Discover Scuba and Openwater, right through to the intense Divemaster qualification. The club is open every Monday and Thursday for rentals of dive equipment, dive planning and beer. Social events are organized on a regular basis. With a fully stocked bar and great company, it is difficult to find a better place to spend Monday and Thursday evenings!
